Dr. Roland Rausch, Founder

Roland has unparalleled financial services and investment experience, having globally worked on more than 50 IPOs, capital increases, equity placements, convertibles and more than 30 M&A situations over the last 25 years in investment banking and having invested in more than 30 public and private debt and equity situations over the last 10 years.

Roland has worked for a decade in different senior positions at Morgan Stanley, including heading the German speaking, the New York based East Coast Technology and the Singapore based South-East Asian equity capital markets business before founding Rausch Partners.

Roland has been leading instrumental financing transactions such as the Re-IPO for HeidelbergCement (2009 IFR European equity deal of the year award) and the first IPO since the great financial crisis for Kabel Deutschland. He has furthermore executed multiple NASDAQ, NYSE IPOs, equity, bond placements and spin-offs out of New York such as the $15bn spin-off of Western Union from First Data Corp. or the $510MM IPO for Orbitz. Roland has executed several capital raisings in the South East Asian region in 2008-2009.

After years of working for investment banks, it is Roland’s clear continued commitment to serve as leader for global special investment situations. Under Rausch Partners Roland has led more than 30 capital raisings, investments and M&A transactions across the globe with a transaction value of more than USD 13bn. Roland has been a cornerstone arranger and investor in building successful German publicly listed real estate companies across all asset classes including the residential, office, development and hospitality segment.

Roland has founded multiple private and public asset management vehicles that are under his leadership where the Luxembourg-based family office Rausch Capital is serving as cornerstone investor.

He started at the Corporate Finance / M&A division at Deutsche Bank and KPMG Austria. Roland holds a PhD in Finance from Boston University/ University of Graz and a master's degree in technical mathematics with a focus on options pricing and valuation of companies.
